Each year, the prestigious San Francisco Fall Show invites a select group of designers to craft show-stopping vignettes inspired by the event’s curatorial theme. This year, Amy Weaver Design was chosen to create one of the featured spaces—a rich, transportive tableau that captures the spirit of adventure and refined comfort.
In From Africa with Love, Weaver blends safari chic with glamping sophistication, creating a layered retreat alive with texture, color, and global storytelling. At its center stands a dramatic four-poster canopy daybed, finished in deep ebony and adorned with intricate beadwork handcrafted by the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. Jewel-toned pillows in saffron, cobalt, and citron lend the space a bold, luxurious energy.
The backdrop—de Gournay’s “African Savannah” in the Amarelo colorway—wraps the scene in lush trees, golden light, and distant mountains. A vintage butler’s tray styled with collected barware adds a touch of worldly ease, while a natural sisal rug layered with a playful zebra hide grounds the design. A warm leather safari chair and whimsical details complete the narrative, balancing opulence with wanderlust.
The result is a space where storytelling, leisure, and glamour converge—a soulful retreat that celebrates both craftsmanship and curiosity.
Giving Back: San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2024
Amy Weaver and her daughter Samantha are making waves at the 2024 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, showcasing their exceptional talent and passion for design. This year, their participation holds special significance as they aim to support students at University High School in San Francisco.
Their design vision is nothing short of breathtaking: two rooms adorned in the serene hues of cornflower blues, crisp whites, and shades of butter yellow. With an eye for detail and a penchant for elegance, Amy and Samantha have curated spaces that exude tranquility and sophistication.
Adding a personal touch to their design, the duo incorporated furniture pieces from their own line of beaded furniture, ONIRU. Each piece reflects their signature style, blending timeless charm with contemporary flair.
